The RC is Lexus’ all-new 2-door coupe. A name was selected for the new orange body color of its high performance model, the RC F. It will be called Solar Flare.
This project began on Lexus UK’s official Facebook page at the end of May. Lexus posted an image of its RC F in bright orange and made a request to fans of Facebook to “come up with a name for this new body color”.
This orange is a very bright metallic color. Lexus has gone with blue as its image color for the F model till now. The new orange could be the perfect choice to show off this high performance RC F.
On June 17, Lexus UK responded to suggestions from Facebook fans by announcing Solar Flare as its color name. Lexus said, “We are grateful for all the responses from the many fans on Facebook. We chose Solar Flare as its name to represent the power and excitement of the RC F.”
