The recipe for a Hennessey VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe is to take one brand spanking-new Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, rip out the standard 6.2 litre V8 and its supercharger, replace it with a 7.0 litre V8, bolt on a pair of turbochargers and an intercooler, and add countless other modifications to make the car go, stop, turn and look better. This isn’t the first time Hennessey Performance have had a go at the CTS-V Coupe. Last year they unveiled the Twin Turbo V1000 Coupe. That car had 1,000 horsepower. So no prizes for guessing how much horsepower the Hennessey VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe has. 1,200+ horsepower buys you an awful lot of speed. In this case it allows for a 0-60 mph time of 2.9 seconds, and an eye-watering 242 mph top speed. Basically there’s only a handful of street legal cars that can match the Hennessey VR12 Twin Turbo Coupe in a straight line.Only 12 Hennessey VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupes are scheduled for construction. Hennessey haven’t yet published the asking price. However you can get an idea of the final cost when you consider that the automatic transmission option with torque converter upgrade adds a cool $20,000 to the price!
