Touring Superleggera A8GCS Berlinetta

The A8GCS Berlinetta is a coachbuilt supercar based on the Maserati GranSport Coupe. Designed and built by Touring Superleggera - an automotive design and engineering company based in the north of Itay - the A8GCS was initially developed as a showpiece for the company to advertise their manufacturing capabilities. However now the vehicle is ready for one-off production, and it'll be arriving at one very dedicated car enthusiasts garage in the near future.

The car was revealed in the flesh at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show after being previewed at the Concours d'Elegance.The A8GCS is a strict two-seater, unlike the car on which it's based which features a 2+2 seating layout. Touring Superleggera have made extensive changes to the car's bodywork while still retaining similar proportions. The engineers are aiming for a 1,500 kg (3,307 lb) weight for the finished car - 180 kgs (400 lbs) lighter than the Maserati GranSport.
