Audi A 2.0 e-tron concept car

Audi A 2.0 e-tron concept car
The Audi A 2.0 e-tron concept is the work of a trio of automotive design students, Giacomo Franceschi, Antonio Paglia, and Cem Kayserili, from the Politecnico di Milan university. The project was sponsored by Audi, and the goal was to design a 100-percent electric-powered compact city car which would appeal to younger buyers in the 18-30 age group.
Inspiration for the concept came from a wide variety of sources, ranging from the logical – like modern sporting gear, gadgets, electronics, and recent Audi concept cars. To the slightly more surreal – like the military droids from the Star Wars movies.

The Audi A 2.0 e-tron concept is extremely compact, measuring just 10.8 feet (3.3 metres) long, and 5.2 feet (1.6 metres) wide. Yet despite its small size, it has room for four-occupants in a 2+2 seating layout. The thin front seats and narrow dashboard design allow more space for passenger legroom both front and rear. A combination of leather, carbon fiber and plastic is used for the interior trim and upholstery. The car features a digital instrument panel which wraps around the steering wheel column and provides the driver with necessary driving information. While on the passenger side a large OLED infotainment screen provides additional data.
The plug-in rechargeable electric drivetrain of the Audi A 2.0 e-tron concept is of unspecified size and performance. However it consists of a series of battery packs located under the floor of the vehicle supplying power to a front-mounted electric motor driving the two front wheels.
