The Mercedes Concept Style Coupe, or CSC for short, is a four-door coupe which, according to Mercedes-Benz themselves, is “almost production-standard”. That means the Mercedes Compact Style Coupe is essentially a preview of a production model which should be on its way in the next year or so. Further proof of the CSC’s imminent production comes from a statement by Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars. “The Concept Style Coupé is expressive and powerful in its design. We are staking our claim very clearly here. This is the model against which sporty vehicles in the executive segment will have to measure themselves in future.”
The Mercedes Concept Style Coupe is an elegant and sporty looking vehicle. The bodywork is characterised by rippling lines which provide numerous highlights and shadows. It’s design is a million miles away from the slab-sided Mercs of the 90s and early noughties. Despite their size, the massive 21-inch wheels actually look well-proportioned to the car, and their intricate twisted-spoke design nicely compliments the exterior design.
The interior of the Mercedes CSC concept was inspired by the world of fashion, mainly in the color combination of light grey, anthracite and neon green. Leather features prominently in the cabin, including white nubuck leather and grey Alcantara suede. Suede is used on the seats and sports steering wheel to ensure better grip. All chrome trim elements and control panels now for the first time feature a black anodised finish. The surfaces around the control panel are finished in black anodised aluminium.

Powering the Mercedes CSC concept is a 2.0 litre turbocharged gasoline engine which produces 211 horsepower. The transmission is 7-speed dual clutch unit and 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
The Mercedes CSC concept is making its world debut at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show next week. It’s expected to get a North American debut shortly after.
