You can always rely on Citroen to be a bit different, in fact that would probably make a good slogan for the quirky French manufacturer. Many of their more recent concept cars, like the Lacoste, REVOLTe and E-3POD Antistatic have been genuine vehicular oddities. Their latest concept car, the Citroen Tubik, is just as bizarre.
Citroen say the Tubik concept was designed to make travel fun again. It seems that in Citroen’s eyes the way to do that is to create a passenger van with a multi-configuration interior, put windows only on one side of the rear compartment, and make the driver sit in a giant metal donut.
So far Citroen have only released very limited information on the concept. There are no details on the engineering, architecture, drivetrain, or whether the Tubik is a stylised version of a van which will enter production in the future.
