BRP Can-Am Outlander 6×6 ATV

BRP Can-Am Outlander 6x6 ATV front
The BRP Can-Am Outlander 6×6 ATV is a post-apocalyptic looking off-road vehicle which offers a mix off durability, practicality and versatility. The vehicle was developed not at BRP’s headquarters in Canada, but instead it was designed and built at one of the company’s European facilities in Finland.
Based on a Can-Am G2 chassis, the Outlander 6×6 ATV adds another axle which gives it added cargo space, and crucially another powered axle for crawling through the really tough stuff. The rear cargo bed of the BRP Can-Am Outlander 6×6 ATV measures almost four-feet in length. Small by truck standards, but huge compared to other ATVs. It also has an extremely useful maximum load carrying capability of 800 lbs (363 kgs), and it can tow up to 16,50 lbs (750 kgs). The vehicle’s practicality can be increased even further with the addition of extra storage pod at the front. The rear cargo area can be either open – for larger loads – or sealed to keep the contents safe and dry.

The BRP Can-Am Outlander 6×6 ATV’s suspension features 9.3-inches of travel, and to improve the vehicle’s traction and stability, the pivot points were lowered. Ground clearance of the Outlander 6×6 is 12.2-inches.
Powering the BRP Can-Am Outlander 6×6 ATV is an 82 horsepower, 1-litre Rotax motor. The transmission was modified from the original 4×4 model to include a significantly lower ratio to cope with the heavier vehicle and increased cargo, towing capabilities.
The Can-Am Outlander 6×6 1000 XT ATV is on sale in some markets already. US buyers will have to wait until this summer to buy one. The MSRP for the vehicle is roughly $14,000. Although prices will vary as BRP are offering – depending on location – up to seven different versions with different optional extras.
