2013 Chevrolet “Turbo” Camaro Coupe

Chevrolet Camaro Turbo
Fear not. Chevrolet haven’t completely lost the plot. The “Turbo” Camaro Coupe isn’t some crazy new addition to the options list. It’s just a fun one-off concept Chevy knocked up based on a character in a new 3D animated comedy from DreamWorks.
The new movie is called Turbo, and is about a snail obsessed with speed, and this Camaro is instrumental in transforming him into a racer. It hits theaters July 19, 2013.
The Chevrolet “Turbo” Camaro Coupe concept was unveiled at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, and underneath all that Mad Max inspired bodywork is a 700+ horsepower V8 mated to an automatic transmission. Confusingly, but not surprisingly, it doesn’t actually sport a turbocharger. Instead it has to make do with that enormous supercharger. Which erupts through the hood and actually looks to be the tallest point of the vehicle!

Other highlights of the Chevrolet “Turbo” Camaro Coupe include a wide body kit, a custom front splitter (which looks more like a snow plow), a new rear diffuser, a COPO hood assembly, and a massive racing-spec rear wing. Up front there’s some fancy LED lighting with halo effect for the headlights.
To top it all off, those huge wheels measure 24-inches in diameter, and 15-inches wide at the back. However they manage to sit snugly under the bloated wheel arches thanks to a custom suspension system.
