2014 TechArt Porsche 911 Turbo

The latest 911 is quite possibly the most thoroughly engineered sports car of all time. Honed to its current standard over the last 51 years, it offers performance, reliability, and in its Turbo form, ludicrous speed. There are only a few companies who can improve on what Porsche offer, and TechArt are one of them.
The latest upgrades on offer from TechArt for the 991 Series of the 911 Turbo includes a comprehensive array of aerodynamic upgrades, chassis components, drivetrain enhancements and handcrafted interior trim.

Starting with the exterior, the 2014 TechArt package for the 911 Turbo includes a new front spoiler with active aerodynamics. The spoiler extends at the touch of a button up to speeds of 75 mph, over this it deploys automatically. The front end also benefits from small winglets which are integrated into the front air intakes. The increase in front-end downforce is complimented and balanced by a larger rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser. Deeper sideskirts complete the exterior changes.
For the chassis, TechArt have on offer a hydraulic noselift system to cope with speed bumps, parking garages etc, a sets of lowering sports springs, and a range of 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels.
The drivetrain upgrades the company have developed for the 911 Turbo aren’t all that impressive at the moment, and are limited to a sports exhaust system with variable valve control, and a reprogramming of the engine’s ECU.
On the inside, TechArt have really gone to town, offering a bespoke service where customers can select from a huge range of colors and trim. On offer are custom designed door sill guards, a TechArt steering wheel, aluminium pedals, bespoke leather seat upholstery, carbon fiber trim, TechArt dials, and of course, floormats.
The prices aren’t available on the TechArt website, however you can be sure that for the same money you could probably pick up a well-used 911, or a tidy Boxster, for some worry-free track day fun.
