Trident Sports Cars have just announced, for what seems like the millionth time, that their Iceni sports car is now for sale. They previewed it a long while back, then announced it again in 2009, 2012 and now 2014. Thankfully though, this time around it’s a little different.
The Trident Iceni Magna and the Iceni Venturer are the reason why. Based on the same platform as the Iceni convertible, the Iceni Magna (pictured) is the fastback coupe version, while the Venturer is the wagon (estate) model.
All three versions are powered by the same diesel drivetrains. The standard setup consists of a 6.6 litre turbo-diesel engine producing 430 horsepower and a massive 950 lb-ft (1,287 Nm) of torque. While the high-performance option raises output to 660 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft (1,422 Nm) of torque.

While the huge torque figure is certainly worth applauding, Trident are particularly proud of the touring potential of the cars. On a full tank it can cover 2,000 miles before needing a refill! On the highway it gets up to 68 MPG.
All three models are now available worldwide with a starting price of £96,000 ($161,000).
