The recently revealed 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, with its supercharged 6.2 litre supercharged engine and innovative headlight/air intake combo is just the latest high-powered muscle car to appear. It sticks to the relatively safe formula of shoe-horning the largest, beefiest engine possible, into a chassis only just capable of handling its power. It’s simple, effective and offers the most bang for your buck.
However the prolific automotive photoshopper that is X-Tomi has had a go at shaking things up a little. Instead of the regular two-door coupe, he’s created an attractive and more practical shooting brake version of the Challenger SRT.
From the angle he’s chosen it’s difficult to imagine just how the car would look in profile, or especially the rear view with its slanted back window. But from the front 3/4 angle it’s all good. In particular the stepped rear side window which follows the lines of the bulging rear wheel arch.

Of course, back in the real world, nobody at Dodge headquarters is seriously considering putting anything like this into production. But aftermarket tuners have done far more radical alterations to cars before. Perhaps the Challenger SRT Hellcat Shooting Brake might provide a free-spirited Challenger owner with some inspiration.
