BMW S1000RR “Mad Max” Adventure Bike by Wunderlich

BMW S1000RR Mad Max Adventure Bike
Sports bikes don’t tend to make the best starting point for an off-roader conversion. And Wunderlich’s conversion of a BMW S1000RR into an adventure bike kinda proves that point. That’s not to say the BMW S1000RR “Mad Max” adventure bike isn’t a huge lump of awesome. It certainly looks the part. However I’ve got the feeling just shy of 200 horsepower is a little too much for an off-roader. Not to mention the limited clearances and suspension travel.
But Wunderlich didn’t create the S1000RR Mad Max as a bike to be taken seriously. They did it to advertise their BMW Motorcycles accessory business. And from that respect, job done.

The BMW S1000RR Mad Max features Continental TKC80 knobby tires, Ohlins suspension, Moto-Master brake discs, Magura handlebars and a custom stainless steel exhaust system from Remus. The minimalist bodywork was designed by the Frenchman Nicolas Petit, who ditches almost every single panel and fairing from the standard bike and replaces them with just a few small covers and an entirely new and rather sinister looking headlight cowl.
