Bulleta Motors RF22

Bulleta Motors, based in Irvine, California, have just put the finishing touches to their RF22 sports car. It’s based on the Lotus Evora and the styling is said to be inspired by the F22 Raptor. Sticking with Lotus’ lightweight philosophy, the Bulleta RF22 features optional carbon fiber bodypanels and also what are claimed to be the world’s lightest all-carbon fiber wheels.
Bulleta haven’t gone too crazy modifying the RF22 from the original Lotus. It has a new face and headlights, larger air intakes behind the doors, and a heavily revised rear end. Overall it’s a good looking car which builds on the Evora’s already handsome shape. It’s hardly surprising though when you take into account the designer was Samir Sadikov – remember the Aston Martin DBC?

As well as the new bodywork, the Bulleta RF22 also has an upgraded drivetrain. The car still relies on the Evora’s 3.5 litre DOHC V6 engine, but onto this is bolted a Bulleta-designed Eaton Supercharger – which raises the output to 505 horsepower and 410 lb-ft (555 Nm) of torque. As a result the Bulleta RF22 is a whole second faster in the 0-62 mph sprint than the Evora S, managing the run in just 3.6 seconds.
