Remember the preview sketches of Bertone’s new supercar concept which the company released a couple of weeks ago? Well now they’ve published three additional images showing the car in (almost) all its glory. The Bertone Nuccio is indeed a mid-engined supercar, although the exact powerplant they’re using remains a mystery – and probably will until it’s officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
The wedge shaped Nuccio is strongly inspired by the long, low, pointy cars the company was renowned for in the 70s and 80s. In the official press release, Bertone say: “The Nuccio is an ‘extreme’ sportscar that puts an evolutionary imprint on the concept that is built into Bertone’s dna.” A normal human would have said something like; “This sportscar is a natural progression for Bertone”. Either way though, the Nuccio is a fairly dramatic looking vehicle.
The Bertone Nuccio, which was also developed as part of the company’s 100th anniversary, was designed by Michael Robinson.
