The new 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class models are technically not all-new, but rather refreshed with handsome new sheet metal, interior updates, and new powertrain options. With the current E-Class still proving to be popular among Canadians - massaging its shape and engine options is sure to make a good car great. Mercedes-Benz Canada was proud to announce a highly successful 2012 here with just over 30,000 units sold and the new E-Class will help continue the charge in 2013.
On the engine front, the new 2014 E-Class will sport a full line-up of powertrains including the E350, with a 3.0L V6, the E550 turbocharged 4.7L V8, the E350 Bluetec 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel and the E63 AMG 5.5L twin-turbo V8. The brand new engine will be the Mercedes-Benz E400 hybrid featuring a 3.0L V6 mated with a 27 hp, 207 lb-ft electric motor.
As we mentioned in Detroit, we're fans of the new styling as it retains the lineage of the E-Class but updated tweaks and trademark Benz moves are all well received. This particular E63 AMG was a real slick looking sport sedan and one we'll have a review for on Autoblog Canada very soon... stay tuned.
