The Porsche Panamera GTS is the purist, most driver-centric version of the Panamera. It’s aimed at the sort of person who prefers to drive rather than be driven. It’s not the fastest Panamera though, that title is still held by the Panamera Turbo S. But what the GTS offers is a more hardcore chassis with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC). PDCC limits body roll when cornering by using active anti-roll bars on the front and rear axle. In addition the Panamera GTS features an electronically-controlled rear axle differential lock, and the car sits 10mm closer to the ground thanks to a more sporting suspension setup with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).
The Panamera GTS comes fitted with the Sport Chrono package as standard, which in addition to the Normal and Sport modes offers the Sport Plus programme as well. In the Sport Plus mode, the adaptive air suspension drops the vehicle to the lowest setting and switches to a harder spring rate. The rear spoiler angle of attack also changes to provide additional downforce.
Powering the Porsche Panamera GTS is a naturally aspirated 4.8 litre V8 engine which features a number of changes over the standard Panamera S/4S resulting in an extra 30 horsepower and 20Nm (15 lb-ft) of torque, taking the total numbers to 430 horsepower and 520 Nm (384 lb-ft). Due to the added shove, the GTS can hit 62 mph (100km/h) in 4.5 seconds and continue on to a 179 mph top speed.

Oddly, despite the Panamera GTS being a driver-orientated model, Porsche have decided not to offer a manual version. Instead the only transmission option is a seven-speed PDK (Doppelkupplungsgetriebe) unit which sends the power to all four wheels.
The exterior of the Porsche Panamera GTS has been given a few enhancements which were inspired by the bodywork of the Turbo. The GTS features the standard front section of the Sport-Design package of the Panamera Turbo offering a more aggressive appearance while also providing more air to the engine. At the rear is a four-way adjustable rear spoiler lifted directly off the Panamera Turbo.
The appearance of the Panamera GTS is characterised by numerous black exterior styling details. The high-gloss black exterior package is found on the side window trim, the decorative trim on the rear lid, the headlight washer unit cover, the rear diffuser and the side air outlet panels. The sideskirts, rear apron and tailpipes are all finished in black.
The interior of the Porsche Panamera GTS is identified by a blend of leather and alcantara trim – in a choice of five colors, a SportDesign steering wheel with center mark, ‘Panamera GTS’ badged sill protectors, ‘GTS’ embroidered headrests, a G-meter in front of the driver, and numerous minor details like contrasting stitching.
